Democrat's, Do As We Say, Not As We Do Mentality
President Bush's recent trip to Israel and his comments about "Appeasement" has stirred a lot of buzz. I think his comments were right on target and what I find irresponsible is the nut case we have as "Speaker of the House" and her ever so stupid side kick, Harry "Clue Less, Taxes are Voluntary" Reid.
The following two paragraphs were taken from a New Your Times article discussing the Presidents comments;
- The comments created an angry tussle back home, as Democrats accused Mr. Bush of breaching protocol by playing partisan politics overseas.
- On Thursday, other Democrats leapt to the Illinois senator’s defense. Senator Harry Reid of Nevada, the Democratic leader, called Mr. Bush’s remarks “reckless and irresponsible.” Speaker Nancy Pelosi of California said Mr. Bush had behaved in a manner “beneath the dignity of the office of president.” Representative Rahm Emanuel of Illinois, chairman of the House Democratic caucus, accused Mr. Bush of violating the unwritten rule against playing politics overseas.
Now when you read these, the Dems are making some nasty accusations. However, they seem to have no problem "playing politics overseas" and "breaching protocol". Do you remember Nancy Pelosi's visit to Syria? "The controversial meeting was a clear defiance of the White House Middle East policy." [Fox News]
Now does this seem like some BS, or what?
The New US Bill of NON-RIGHTS
I received an interesting email that shows 11 Articles listing the Non-Rights for those people who think they have the "Right" to everything. Check out the US Bill of NON-RIGHTS.
The US Bill of NON-Rights
I received this in an email and I’m not sure where it cam from, but supposedly it has been attributed to State Representative Mitchell Kaye from GA. I’m not sure, but I thought it was worth posting.
“We the sensible people of the United States, in an attempt to help everyone get along, restore some semblance of justice, avoid more riots, keep our nation safe, promote positive behavior, and secure the blessings of debt-free liberty to ourselves and our great-great-great-grandchildren, hereby try one more time to ordain and establish some common sense guidelines for the terminally whiny, guilt ridden, delusional, and other constant bed-wetters.”
We hold these truths to be self evident: that a whole lot of people are confused by the Bill of Rights and are so dim they require a Bill of NON-Rights.
ARTICLE I: You do NOT have the right to a new car, big screen TV, or any other form of wealth. More power to you if you can legally acquire them, but no one is guaranteeing anything.
ARTICLE II: You do not have the right to never be offended. This country is based on freedom, and that means freedom for everyone -- not just you! You may leave the room, turn the channel, express a different opinion, etc.; but the world is full of idiots, and probably always will be.
ARTICLE III: You do not have the right to be free from harm. If you stick a screwdriver in your eye, learn to be more careful; do not expect the tool manufacturer to make you and all your relatives independently wealthy.
ARTICLE IV: You do not have the right to free food and housing. Americans are the most charitable people to be found, and will gladly help anyone in need, but we are quickly growing weary of subsidizing generation after generation of professional couch potatoes who achieve nothing more than the creation of another generation of professional couch potatoes. (This one is my pet peeve...get an education and go to work....don't expect everyone else to take care of you!)
ARTICLE V: You do not have the right to free health care. That would be nice, but from the looks of public housing, we're just not interested in public health care.
ARTICLE VI: You do not have the right to physically harm other people. If you kidnap, rape, intentionally maim, or kill someone, don't be surprised if the rest of us want to see you fry in the electric chair.
ARTICLE VII: You do not have the right to the possessions of others! If you rob, cheat, or coerce away the goods or services of other citizens, don't be surprised if the rest of us get together and lock you away in a place where you still won't have the right to a big screen color TV or a life of leisure
ARTICLE VIII: You do not have the right to a job. All of us sure want you to have a job, and will gladly help you along in hard times, but we expect you to take advantage of the opportunities of education and vocational training laid before you to make yourself useful. (AMEN!)
ARTICLE IX: You do not have the right to happiness. Being an American means that you have the right to PURSUE happiness, which by the way, is a lot easier if you are unencumbered by an over abundance of idiotic laws created by those of you who were confused by the Bill of Rights.
ARTICLE X: This is an English speaking country. We don't care where you are from, English is our language. Learn it or go back to wherever you came from! (Lastly....)
ARTICLE XI: You do not have the right to change our country's history or heritage. This country was founded on the belief in one true God. And yet, you are given the freedom to believe in any religion, any faith, or no faith at all; with no fear of persecution. The phrase IN GOD WE TRUST is part of our heritage and history, and if you are uncomfortable with it, TOUGH!
Spells to Be Cast at Anti-Marine Rally in California (Code Pink Nuts)
Well the Code Pink Nuts are at it again out in Berkeley, California. This time their attempting witchcraft to get their point across. If you remember, they were raising hell back in February when the Berkeley City Council sent the Marines a letter saying they were not welcome. I posted a blog entry "Berkeley Eases Anti-Marine Stance" about it and thought these nuts were moving on, but it appears their back to cause more trouble.
What I find a little odd, is their issue of saying they want to protect the troops from dying. Perhaps they should pull their head out of their ass along with a few other groups and go after illegal aliens in our country. The following is quoted from an article by Scott Snyder.
- "As of April 23, 2008, 4046 Americans have given their lives in the Iraq war, that's about 809 soldiers per year. As of 2006, on average 12 people per day are murdered by illegal immigrants and 13 people a day are killed by illegal immigrants driving while drunk and uninsured. Over a one year period this amounts to 9125 Americans killed by illegal immigrants. These numbers do not also include terrorist attacks on US soil that were committed by illegal immigrants."
Now if these nuts were really concerned about the life of Americans, then I would think they would want to go after the larger killer of Americans. But hell no, that would not be politically correct. Feel free to discuss this topic more at Bob's Daily Blog Forum.
To read the latest about these nuts, see the following article below from Fox News.
Spells to Be Cast at Anti-Marine Rally in California - Members of an anti-war group began gathering Friday with pink placards and banners outside of a controversial Marine Corps Recruiting Center in Berkeley, Calif., where Code Pink had promised to use witchcraft to rally against the Iraq war. Dangerous Word Games (The Politically Correct Way)
After reading this, I wonder how many "Radical Islamic Fundamentalist" are jumping up and down. Not because they are mad and ready for "Jihad", but because they are winning the Politically Correct war in American. You see, by doing so, they make it harder to identify where the real threat is coming from. America really needs to put an end to all of this Politically Correct nonsense. What do you think?
Dangerous Word Games - This is a memo to Palestinian Islamic Jihad, Hamas (Islamic Resistance Movement), Hizballah (the Party of God), the Islamic State of Iraq, Egyptian Islamic Jihad and others: Please consider changing your names to something a tad less religious sounding. Recession? What Recession?
You can't turn on the TV, listen to the radio or surf the net without hearing how bad the economy is and how we're in a recession. Sure the housing market is going through some hard times, but is it really a recession?
Well according to a post by John Lott, Jr, I would say we're hardly in a recession. His recent post at Fox News shows how bias the media is toward Republicans. In my opinion, this constant bombardment of negative propaganda will only lead to our self-fulling prophecy of a recession. Check out John Lott, Jr's Recession.
