Spells to Be Cast at Anti-Marine Rally in California (Code Pink Nuts)

Well the Code Pink Nuts are at it again out in Berkeley, California.  This time their attempting witchcraft to get their point across.  If you remember, they were raising hell back in February when the Berkeley City Council sent the Marines a letter saying they were not welcome.  I posted a blog entry "Berkeley Eases Anti-Marine Stance" about it and thought these nuts were moving on, but it appears their back to cause more trouble.

What I find a little odd, is their issue of saying they want to protect the troops from dying.  Perhaps they should pull their head out of their ass along with a few other groups and go after illegal aliens in our country.  The following is quoted from an article by Scott Snyder

  • "As of April 23, 2008, 4046 Americans have given their lives in the Iraq war, that's about 809 soldiers per year. As of 2006, on average 12 people per day are murdered by illegal immigrants and 13 people a day are killed by illegal immigrants driving while drunk and uninsured. Over a one year period this amounts to 9125 Americans killed by illegal immigrants. These numbers do not also include terrorist attacks on US soil that were committed by illegal immigrants."

Now if these nuts were really concerned about the life of Americans, then I would think they would want to go after the larger killer of Americans.  But hell no, that would not be politically correct.   Feel free to discuss this topic more at Bob's Daily Blog Forum.

To read the latest about these nuts, see the following article below from Fox News.

Spells to Be Cast at Anti-Marine Rally in California - Members of an anti-war group began gathering Friday with pink placards and banners outside of a controversial Marine Corps Recruiting Center in Berkeley, Calif., where Code Pink had promised to use witchcraft to rally against the Iraq war. Investigative Project Releases Gov't Memos Curtailing Speech in War on Terror

A while back, I ran a poll asking people if they thought America was becoming too politically correct.  Overwhelmingly, the response was Yes.  Now, I read just how crazy this PC shit is becoming.  The following is another one of those Investigative Project on Terrorism stories I just can't believe and follows on the heels of the Dangerous Words article I posted earlier.

Investigative Project Releases Gov't Memos Curtailing Speech in War on Terror - The Department of Homeland Security (DHS) is refusing to identify the "influential Muslim Americans" and "leading U.S.-based scholars and commentators on Islam" who met with Secretary Michael Chertoff in helping shape a softer approach to government.

Berkeley Eases Anti-Marines Stance

Although I still think the people of Berkeley are idiots, I'm glade to see they are finally seeing the light on this issue.  However, I do not think they got a change of heart, I think they just realized their crocodile mouths bit off more than their canary asses could handle.  "Councilwoman Linda Maio said the council opposes recruitment, not the military. "It's behavior that we oppose, not the people,"   That logic is about as stupid as saying we support the Police, but just hate it when they lock up criminals...  This women is a joke and so are her "Code Pink" friends who say "we support them so much that we're desperate to get them back home."  I wonder how many have ever actually talked to a military member.  If they did, they would know "Code Pink" is thought of as a bunch of nuts.  Let me know what you think...
