A Story Of Two Houses (ie., An 'inconvenient truth')
I received this in an email and after some checking, found out that it is true. It's a little old, but I thought it was relevant, given the recent news about drilling for oil and some of the idiots who think they're the world's voice on environmental issues. Why do we not see this on CNN, MSNBC or some of the other liberal news stations?

House #1 A 20 room mansion (not including 8 bathrooms) heated by natural gas. Add on a pool (and a pool house) and a separate guest house, all heated by gas. In one month this residence consumes more energy than the average American household does in a year. The average bill for electricity and natural gas runs over $2400. In natural gas alone, this property consumes more than 20 times the national average for an American home. This house is not situated in a Northern or Midwestern 'snow belt' area. It's in the South.

House #2 Designed by an architecture professor at a leading national university. This house incorporates every 'green' feature current home construction can provide. The house is 4,000 square feet (4 bedrooms) and is nestled on a high prairie in the American south west. A central closet in the house holds geothermal heat-pumps drawing ground water through pipes sunk 300 feet into the ground. The water (usually 67 degrees F.) heats the house in the winter and cools it in the summer. The system uses no fossil fuels such as oil or natural gas and it consumes one-quarter electricity required for a conventional heating/cooling system. Rainwater from the roof is collected and funneled into a 25,000 gallon underground cistern. Wastewater from showers, sinks and toilets goes into underground purifying tanks and then into the cistern. The collected water then irrigates the land surrounding the house. Surrounding flowers and shrubs native to the area enable the property to blend into the surrounding rural landscape.
HOUSE #1 is outside of Nashville , Tennessee ; it is the abode of the 'environmentalist' Al Gore.
HOUSE #2 is on a ranch near Crawford , Texas ; it is the residence the of the President of the United States , George W. Bush.
This story is true according to SNOPES, but you'll never hear it in the main stream media. That should scare the hell out of you.
The New Yorker Cover of Obama
Hey Obama! Get over it... I'll bet you will have all kinds of "cool pictures" of you before all this election stuff is over...

The Difference Between McCain, Clinton and Obama
I received this in an email and thought it was a simple, but interesting comparison of the candidates. Now I know you may say, "well Hillary is out", but really she is just circling above.

Will Obama's Decision Silence Critics? (Probably, but there are still questions)
Well Obama finally quit the church he attended for over twenty years, but is he just trying to cut ties with a controversy that nags at him like a tiny dog nipping at his heals? The below article from McClatchy Newspaper highlights a few points I think are worth discussing.
- Obama is quoted as saying "... the racial and other controversies of recent months had become too great a distraction.." So he didn't find the racially charged comments and other controversies spouted by Write a distraction the last twenty years before he was running for President? Now that Americans know how his spiritual adviser for 20 years feels about America and whites, he finds the comments a "distraction".
- The article goes on to say that the polls show Obama needs to work harder on building trust in working-class white voters. So quiting his church now, after 20 years and not denouncing their anti-white or anti-American views is going to build that trust? This sounds like regular Washington Politics to me. Tell Americans what they want to hear and lie about how you truly feel. Even Rev. Write saw through Obama's deception and he has known him for over 20 years. That should speak volumes to Americans.
- Obama said he didn't need to respond to everything that the church preaches. I think it would have been more believable if he would have done all this before he started running for President. This just makes him look like another Washington politician spouting the usual BS.

Clinton Making More Promises She Can't Keep
I just read an article about how Clinton Assures Puerto Ricans they will not have to go back to Iraq. It is unbelievable how far she will go to deceive the people, just to get their votes.
She really needs to wake up and smell the coffee. She can make all the promises she wants, but the reality is she barely has a snow ball's chance in hell of becoming the Democratic nominee. She just needs to pack up here sorry ass husband, go back to New York and start planning for 2012.
California to Offer Same-Sex Marriages in June, Then What?
Most of the folks in California disagree with gay-marriage. See the Fox News report below.
So after all these folks get married next month, what is going to happen if the issue is put before the voters in November for another vote and there is an amendment to the state constitution banning gay marriage?
California to Offer Same-Sex Marriages in June - Same-sex couples in some counties will be able to marry as soon as Saturday, June 14, exactly 30 days after the California Supreme Court ruled that gay marriage should be legal. [Fox News]
Democrat's, Do As We Say, Not As We Do Mentality
President Bush's recent trip to Israel and his comments about "Appeasement" has stirred a lot of buzz. I think his comments were right on target and what I find irresponsible is the nut case we have as "Speaker of the House" and her ever so stupid side kick, Harry "Clue Less, Taxes are Voluntary" Reid.
The following two paragraphs were taken from a New Your Times article discussing the Presidents comments;
- The comments created an angry tussle back home, as Democrats accused Mr. Bush of breaching protocol by playing partisan politics overseas.
- On Thursday, other Democrats leapt to the Illinois senator’s defense. Senator Harry Reid of Nevada, the Democratic leader, called Mr. Bush’s remarks “reckless and irresponsible.” Speaker Nancy Pelosi of California said Mr. Bush had behaved in a manner “beneath the dignity of the office of president.” Representative Rahm Emanuel of Illinois, chairman of the House Democratic caucus, accused Mr. Bush of violating the unwritten rule against playing politics overseas.
Now when you read these, the Dems are making some nasty accusations. However, they seem to have no problem "playing politics overseas" and "breaching protocol". Do you remember Nancy Pelosi's visit to Syria? "The controversial meeting was a clear defiance of the White House Middle East policy." [Fox News]
Now does this seem like some BS, or what?
Spells to Be Cast at Anti-Marine Rally in California (Code Pink Nuts)
Well the Code Pink Nuts are at it again out in Berkeley, California. This time their attempting witchcraft to get their point across. If you remember, they were raising hell back in February when the Berkeley City Council sent the Marines a letter saying they were not welcome. I posted a blog entry "Berkeley Eases Anti-Marine Stance" about it and thought these nuts were moving on, but it appears their back to cause more trouble.
What I find a little odd, is their issue of saying they want to protect the troops from dying. Perhaps they should pull their head out of their ass along with a few other groups and go after illegal aliens in our country. The following is quoted from an article by Scott Snyder.
- "As of April 23, 2008, 4046 Americans have given their lives in the Iraq war, that's about 809 soldiers per year. As of 2006, on average 12 people per day are murdered by illegal immigrants and 13 people a day are killed by illegal immigrants driving while drunk and uninsured. Over a one year period this amounts to 9125 Americans killed by illegal immigrants. These numbers do not also include terrorist attacks on US soil that were committed by illegal immigrants."
Now if these nuts were really concerned about the life of Americans, then I would think they would want to go after the larger killer of Americans. But hell no, that would not be politically correct. Feel free to discuss this topic more at Bob's Daily Blog Forum.
To read the latest about these nuts, see the following article below from Fox News.
