There has been a lot discussion about McCain's recent pick for VP.  Governor Sarah Palin from Alaska appears to have been very good choice to counter the Obama / Biden ticket.  Although, contrary to some clueless political analysts on the social networks and blogs, this decision looks to have been very well calculated.  In fact, according to a Newsmax article, "David E. Johnson, CEO of Strategic Vision, LLC predicted that Alaska Governor Sarah Palin would be McCain’s running mate in March 2007."  Now for him to accurately predict this selection so far in advance, there must have been some solid indicators the other political analysts missed, or maybe Johnson would just give Sylvia Brown a run for her money.  Seriously, Palin was a solid pick for McCain and brings a number of positive points to the Republican ticket. She has faced down the good old boy politics in Alaska and has made a significant impact on ethics reform.  Her efforts to cut pork barrel spending resulted in saving over $400 million of tax payer dollars, earmarked for "The Bridge To Nowhere" .  She also brings with her a solid conservative record and position that will help McCain with his base and hopefully with some undecided independents.  I guess what I found interesting about her selection was summed up in the New York Post  article by Kirsten Powers (A Democratic supporter).  I think she did an excellent job outlining just what Gov. Palin on the McCain ticket is going to do to the Obama / Biden ticket.   MCCAIN / PALIN IN 08!

I agree with you. I thought Palin was a great choice, and the more she speaks, the more I like her.

Rob,

I agree.  After hearing her speech the other night, I think she just might give Obama's "old school politician" side kick a run for his money.

I don't understand why no one has said anything Yet!!!! I think Sarah Palin is an inconsiderate, selfish, self observed and self-centered, egotistical, individual. She only cares about her accomplishment and will do whatever it takes to WIN!!!! Even if it means turning her family into a circus. Family is not first in her world. I feel sorry for her 17year old daughter. As if it’s not embarrassing enough to be pregnant among her peers. She has her parading in front of the world. Being 17 and pregnant is nothing to be proud of. My heart goes out to her. I fill up just seeing the head lines. I was once in her shoes, pregnant at the age of 17. Yes it was my High School Sweetheart. I was Homecoming Queen and a Drill Team, very popular. When I found out I was pregnant, I was ashamed, mortified. I cried, wishing it was not true, Hoping it was all a dream. However, I had to endure the feeling for 9 mos. My parents had the same values as Palin. They did not believe in abortion and wanted me to marry my son’s father. I understand no abortion, but they wanted marriage because they were also embarrassed. Oh, ya, it’s the right think to do. I stood up to my Father and flat out told him I was not marrying anyone. Seeing her daughter on stage is a clear understanding to me that It’s Palin’s way or no way. I just can’t believer she would put her family through the scrutiny of the public. Personally I would have refused the opportunity for my family privacy.

Hopefully, you will be able to post a more rational comment based on some facts and not your ignorant opinion. I'm allowing your rant to remain posted so readers can really see your incoherent thoughts and opinions.
