Sharpton Promises to 'Close This City'

By Bob - Posted on 27 April 2008

The death of Sean Bell was a tragic event.  The acquittal of the officers involved is not clearly understood at this point.  However, Al Sharpton is on the war path  promising to close down New York city.

In my opinion, Sharpton is nothing more than freaking racist looking to instigate rage in an already tense situation. He plans "massive civil disobedience" like those by Rev. Martin Luther King, but what he fails to see or hear is the "Kill the Police" that was shouted by the gang participating in his march through Harlem. I don't recall the Rev Martin Luther King supporting any of that type of talk.

It's clear that more information is needed to understand the acquittals.  However, I fail to see where Sharpton's ranting will do anything, but cause further racial divides in the city.

You can read the full story about  Sean Bell  from Fox News.
