Senate Majority Leader Harry Reid To Lose Senate Race In Nevada
Just when you thought it could not get any better... It appears that President Obama is planning to go out to Nevada to "help" campaign for Reid, who is trailing in all the polls.
I say Great! The "Big Cheese" riding in on his big white plan to save the day. After all, look how well it worked in the VA Governor’s Race, the NJ Governor’s Race, Copenhagen for the Olympics, Copenhagen for the Climate Boondoggle, and just look at how much he helped Martha Coakley. This President just don't seem to get it, but I hope the people of Nevada show Harry the same "love" as the people of Massachusetts showed Martha.
To the great people of Nevada, "America is counting on you to do the right thing and send Harry to the unemployment line."
Obama Wins! Now What?
Well Obama won the election by a landslide. The time has come to begin healing and bringing America together, but I’m not so sure that will be the case in the months and years to come.
First, let me say, I view his election with mixed emotions. I see a great time in our country for electing the first black as President. This is, as Obama himself said, a defining moment.
However, electing the wrong black man could turn back the hands of time. Obama has an enormous task in front of him and I have serious doubts about his ability to accomplish even a small portion of his promises. His failure may be seen by some, as one of race and not the fact that he was just not the right person for the job.
To me, Americans elected Obama because he was “Not McCain” and Not a Republican”. They did not elect him because they thought he was the best person for the job. Yes, I know some said that, but I really think Americans were so disgusted with Bush and the Republicans, that anyone could have won. Obama just happened to be black and a great talker, which made it even more interesting. People came out of the woodwork to vote for the “first black man”, not to vote for the best person to be President of the United States.
Martin Luther King said it best, “I have a dream that my four little children will one day live in a nation where they will not be judged by the color of their skin but by the content of their character.” This is exactly the issue I have with Obama. It is clear that he was “judged” or “elected” by the color of his skin and not by the “content of his character”. With so many unresolved issues about judgment, character and associates, how can this man be President?
Now that the American people have spoken, what can they look forward to in the coming months and years? Well I’m not a fortune teller, but I do think it will be interesting to see what happens with the following issues:
1. The full power of the Democratic agenda is about to take America by storm. We now have a Democratic President and Democrats dominate both the House and Senate by an even greater majority. It will be interesting to see how all those folks who voted for Obama will feel about their decision when Illegal Aliens begin receiving Social Security, Driver’s Licenses, increased free health care and our country is overrun with Illegal Aliens.
2. I would like to see how all those gun toting, Pennsylvanian’s and Ohioan’s are going to react when they have had most, if not all their gun rights taken away.
3. I would like to know how all those blue-collar workers are going to make their tax cut or tax credit rebate stretch to pay their bills when they no longer have a job due to Obama’s tax increases and health care mandates.
4. I would like to hear what all those folks who agree with Obama’s timetable for withdrawal from Iraq are going to say when we are back over there trying to finish the job we didn’t finish after a 25% cut in defense spending by Barney Frank and all his nut buddies.
5. I want to know what all the people who voted for “Free Corn” think when they begin to see the very freedoms they screamed about Bush taking away, are slyly pulled out from under their noses by Obama as they greedily eat from the government-subsidized trough.
Now I really hope I am wrong in my predictions, but somehow I can’t help but believing America has made a terrible mistake. In closing, I’ll leave you with a few quotes to consider that seem to fit this election.
"When great changes occur in history, when great principles are involved, as a rule the majority are wrong. The minority are right." Eugene V. Debs
A democracy is nothing more than mob rule, where fifty-one percent of the people may take away the rights of the other forty-nine.” Thomas Jefferson
“The government you elect is government you deserve.” Thomas Jefferson
Obama's Direction For America - Something To Consider
I was looking back through some old emails and information I collected for ideas to post and came across this in an old email. I know it has been spread around in emails for a long time, but I want you to reread it one more time. As you read it, I want you to also consider Obama's comments and vision for where he wants to take America. I know as I read again, a shiver ran up my spine. Then read about Classical Conditioning.
There was a chemistry professor in a large college that had some exchange students in the class. One day while the class was in the lab, the professor noticed one young man, an exchange student, who kept rubbing his back and stretching as if his back hurt.
The professor asked the young man what was the matter. The student told him he had a bullet lodged in his back. He had been shot while fighting communists in his native country who were trying to overthrow his country's government and install a new communist regime.
In the midst of his story, he looked at the professor and asked a strange question. He asked 'Do you know how to catch wild pigs?' the professor thought it was a joke and asked for the punch line. The young man said that it was no joke.' You catch wild pigs by finding a suitable place in the woods and putting corn on the ground. The pigs find it and begin to come everyday to eat the free corn. When they are used to coming every day, you put a fence down one side of the place where they are used to coming. When they get used to the fence, they begin to eat the corn again and you put up another side of the fence. They get used to that and start to eat again. You continue until you have all four sides of the fence up with a gate in the last side. The pigs, which are used to the free corn, start to come through the gate to eat that free corn again. You then slam the gate on them and catch the whole herd. Suddenly the wild pigs have lost their freedom. They run around and around inside the fence, but they are caught. Soon they go back to eating the free corn. They are so used to it that they have forgotten how to forage in the woods for themselves, so they accept their captivity.'
The young man then told the professor that is exactly what he sees happening in America. The government keeps pushing us toward Communism, Socialism and keeps spreading the free corn out in the form of programs such as supplemental income, tax credit for unearned income, tax cuts, tax exemptions, tobacco subsidies, dairy subsidies, payments not to plant crops (CRP), welfare, medicine, drugs, etc., while we continually lose our freedoms, just a little at a time.
One should always remember two truths: There is no such thing as a free lunch and you can never hire someone to provide a service for you cheaper than you can do it yourself.
If you see that all of this wonderful government 'help' is a problem confronting the future of democracy in America, you might want to make a stand come Election Day.
Which candidates are promising to spread the free corn and what might their motives be? Think about it.
Just A Few Reasons Why I Will Not Vote For Obama
I think Obama is a slick talking politician who has an agenda for the US. That agenda is socialism and more corruption in Government. Look at his position on the Issues and combine that with a Democratic House and Senate. The Republicans may not even be able to muster a filibusterer. He will have no one to balance out his extream policies. Think about that and here are a few more things to consider. This man becoming President scares the shit out of me.
1. Obama is lying about Rev. Wright
2. Obama is friends with terrorist, William Ayres and Rashid Khalidi
3. Obama is a socialist.
4. Obama has values that are not mine or many American's.
5. Obama has even more radical friends who call for the murder of white people.
6. Obama is lying more and has a bigger hidden agenda.
I hope you will consider these issues and vote for McCain/Palin.
Cute or Creepy? - You Tell Me (Updated 5 Oct)
I just saw this on the Fox Web site and thought it was really creepy. It reminds me of those kids in Lebanon singing with the Jihad Mouse. What the hell is up with these people today and this feeling they have for Obama?
I just updated the 'really creepy" link above to a live link and also found this one. "Obama Youth Regiment" This shit is getting crazy....
Obama Attempts To Use The Truth Police!
We all know politicians lie and it is up to the American citizen to research through the BS of every candidate. I hate it with a passion that I have to research just about every comment that comes out of a politician's mouth. However, when the local law enforcement gets involved, then the issue becomes a little more unsettling. Just how far will the "truth police" go? Will they stop those stupid commercials on TV that peddle crap, "a $50.00 value for only $19.95"? No they will not, but it does appear that the Obama camp is trying to use law enforcement to strong arm some news agencies in St. Louis and and has threaten the TV and Radio Stations in Pennsylvania and Ohio for running what it calls false and misleading ads. If we're going to start running political ads through the "truth-o-meter", Obama may want to watch what the hell he says in his ads.
Biden: Be Patriotic, Pay More Taxes
Well Biden and the nuts over on the Obama campaign think that Americans should be patriotic and buy into the socialist philosophy of wealth redistribution. So where is the incentive to make more, if the Dems are going to take it and give it away?
Biden: Be Patriotic, Pay More Taxes - Dem VP candidate declares that paying higher taxes 'to help get America out of the rut' is patriotic thing to do
I think this little story tells the simple version of the Democrat's tax plan. Now I checked this on Snopes and it has been accredited to a number of people and has a slightly different twist in each version, but I found it sort of entertaining. The math checks out (rounded), so I thought it sounded a lot like the Obama Tax plan.
Suppose that every day, ten men go out for beer and the bill for all ten comes to $100. If they paid their bill the way we pay our taxes, it would go something like this:
The first four men (the poorest) would pay nothing.
The fifth would pay $1.
The sixth would pay $3.
The seventh would pay $7.
The eighth would pay $12.
The ninth would pay $18.
The tenth man (the richest) would pay $59.
So, that's what they decided to do.
The ten men drank in the bar every day and seemed quite happy with the arrangement, until one day, the owner threw them a curve. 'Since you are all such good customers,' he said, 'I'm going to reduce the cost of your daily beer by $20.'Drinks for the ten now cost just $80.
The group still wanted to pay their bill the way we pay our taxes so the first four men were unaffected. They would still drink for free.
But what about the other six men - the paying customers? How could they divide the $20 windfall so that everyone would get his 'fair share?'
They realized that $20 divided by six is $3.33. But if they subtracted that from everybody's share, then the fifth man and the sixth man would each end up being paid to drink his beer. So, the bar owner suggested that it would be fair to reduce each man's bill by roughly the same amount and he proceeded to work out the amounts each should pay.
And so:
The fifth man, like the first four, now paid nothing (100% savings).
The sixth now paid $2 instead of $3 (33%savings).
The seventh now pay $5 instead of $7 (28%savings).
The eighth now paid $9 instead of $12 (25% savings).
The ninth now paid $14 instead of $18 (22% savings).
The tenth now paid $49 instead of $59 (16% savings).
Each of the six was better off than before. And the first four continued to drink for free. But once outside the restaurant, the men began to compare their savings.
'I only got a dollar out of the $20,'declared the sixth man. He pointed to the tenth man,' but he got $10!'
'Yeah, that's right,' exclaimed the fifth man. 'I only saved a dollar, too.
It's unfair that he got ten times more than I!'
'That's true!!' shouted the seventh man. 'Why should he get $10 back when I got only two? The wealthy get all the breaks!'
'Wait a minute,' yelled the first four men in unison. 'We didn't get anything at all. The system exploits the poor!'
The nine men surrounded the tenth and beat him up.
The next night the tenth man didn't show up for drinks, so the nine sat down and had beers without him. But when it came time to pay the bill, they discovered something important. They didn't have enough money between all of them for even half of the bill!
And that, boys and girls, journalists and college professors, is how our tax system works. The people who pay the highest taxes get the most benefit from a tax reduction. Tax them too much, attack them for being wealthy, and they just may not show up anymore. In fact, they might start drinking overseas where the atmosphere is somewhat friendlier.
Governor Palin Was A Good Choice
There has been a lot discussion about McCain's recent pick for VP. Governor Sarah Palin from Alaska appears to have been very good choice to counter the Obama / Biden ticket. Although, contrary to some clueless political analysts on the social networks and blogs, this decision looks to have been very well calculated. In fact, according to a Newsmax article, "David E. Johnson, CEO of Strategic Vision, LLC predicted that Alaska Governor Sarah Palin would be McCain’s running mate in March 2007." Now for him to accurately predict this selection so far in advance, there must have been some solid indicators the other political analysts missed, or maybe Johnson would just give Sylvia Brown a run for her money. Seriously, Palin was a solid pick for McCain and brings a number of positive points to the Republican ticket. She has faced down the good old boy politics in Alaska and has made a significant impact on ethics reform. Her efforts to cut pork barrel spending resulted in saving over $400 million of tax payer dollars, earmarked for "The Bridge To Nowhere" . She also brings with her a solid conservative record and position that will help McCain with his base and hopefully with some undecided independents. I guess what I found interesting about her selection was summed up in the New York Post article by Kirsten Powers (A Democratic supporter). I think she did an excellent job outlining just what Gov. Palin on the McCain ticket is going to do to the Obama / Biden ticket. MCCAIN / PALIN IN 08!

The Difference Between McCain, Clinton and Obama
I received this in an email and thought it was a simple, but interesting comparison of the candidates. Now I know you may say, "well Hillary is out", but really she is just circling above.
