Constitution Gives Congress Power to Mandate Health Insurance In ‘Same Place’ As Medicare

You know I really think these idiots who get elected to Congress should have to take a test on the Constitution and other documents our Founding Fathers wrote.

Enter Senator Sherrod Brown (D-Ohio) who thinks the Constitution gives Congress the authority to require that every American buy health insurance (Matt Cover, 2009).

Wow, did you know that?  I wonder how long it will be before they think the Constitution gives them the authority to require us to by a car from GM, since they (or I should say we the taxpayers) own the majority of the stock?

Just so no one really thinks this is in the Constitution, here is what some others have to say;

“Nowhere in the Constitution is Congress given the power to mandate that an individual enter into a contract with a private party or purchase a good or service,” wrote  Heritage scholars Randy Barnett, Nathaniel Stewart, and Todd F. Gaziano.

This health care bill is a major disaster for America and we need to contact Congress now.

Senate Health Care Bill Would Force Some Middle Class Families to Pay $15,200 Yearly Insurance Fee, According to CBO Analysis

In yet another reason to contact Congress and tell them this Health Care Bill is BS...

Forget the public option. Even without it, the health care bill presented in the Senate by Majority Leader Harry Reid (D.-Nev.) would make some middle-class American families pay what amounts to a $15,200 annual federally-mandated insurance fee, according to facts revealed in analyses published by the Congressional Budget Office.  (Terence P. Jeffrey, Editor-in-Chief)

This bill is a disaster and needs to be thrown out with the Democrats....  Be sure to contact your Senators and Representative at  Congress.org

Senate Democrats to W.H.: Drop Cap-and-Trade

Fearing their butts may be in hot water for supporting the disastrous health care bill, Democrats are running scared to the White House requesting the "Boy Blunder" hold off on the "Cap & Trade" bill.

Sounds to me that these idiots may be scared the American people will put their ass out on the unemployment line for supporting anymore job killing, tax hiking, deficit increasing bills against the will of the people.  If they are smart, they will kill the health care, but then they are Democrats, so the smart thing is out of discussion...

Top 10 Reasons to Kill Senate Health Care Bill

You know I rarely agree with the slobbering liberal media.  However, I read this article on the Huffington Post by  Jane Hamsher that now has me wondering if the left is beginning to see through this arrogant & incompetent administration.  Jane's post,  "Top 10 Reasons to Kill the Senate Health Care Bill", provides some keen insight into the Senate Health Care bill.  After reading these top ten and reviewing the supporting information, it is clear that every American should be on the phone, sending emails, or faxes to their Senators.  This bill is a disaster for America, so I urge everyone to contact their Senator now, before it is too late.  THIS BILL MUST BE STOPPED!  To find out how to contact thses criminals, check out Congress.org.

Top 10 Reasons to Kill Senate Health Care Bill  (Jane Hamsher, December 2009)

1. Forces you to pay up to 8% of your income to private insurance corporations -- whether you want to or not.

2. If you refuse to buy the insurance, you'll have to pay penalties of up to 2% of your annual income to the IRS.

3. Many will be forced to buy poor-quality insurance they can't afford to use, with $11,900 in annual out-of-pocket expenses over and above their annual premiums.

4. Massive restriction on a woman's right to choose, designed to trigger a challenge to Roe v. Wade in the Supreme Court.

5. Paid for by taxes on the middle class insurance plan you have right now through your employer, causing them to cut back benefits and increase co-pays.

6. Many of the taxes to pay for the bill start now, but most Americans won't see any benefits -- like an end to discrimination against those with preexisting conditions -- until 2014 when the program begins.

7. Allows insurance companies to charge people who are older 300% more than others.

8. Grants monopolies to drug companies that will keep generic versions of expensive biotech drugs from ever coming to market.

9. No re-importation of prescription drugs, which would save consumers $100 billion over 10 years.

10. The cost of medical care will continue to rise, and insurance premiums for a family of four will rise an average of $1,000 a year -- meaning in 10 years, your family's insurance premium will be $10,000 more annually than it is right now.

The Obama Administration Is Destroying Our Economy - When Will It Stop?

Sometime tonight, the Senate will vote to move their version of health care forward for debate.  This bill, similar to the House's bill will drive up taxes significantly on all Americans, increase our national debt by trillions and destroy the quality of health care Americans have today.

Although Congress is far from delivering any kind of meaningful health care reform, the road these incompetent idiots are traveling is setting up our country for economic disaster.

"President Barack Obama took office promising to lead from the center and solve big problems. He has exerted enormous political energy attempting to reform the nation's health-care system. But the biggest economic problem facing the nation is not health care. It's the deficit. Recently, the White House signaled that it will get serious about reducing the deficit next year—after it locks into place massive new health-care entitlements. This is a recipe for disaster, as it will create a new appetite for increased spending and yet another powerful interest group to oppose deficit-reduction measures." (DOUGLAS HOLTZ-EAKIN, Nov 2009)

How far will we allow this disastrous spending of the Obama administration to go before we reach the stage of "treason, bribery, or other high crimes and misdemeanors."  America understands Obama inherited an economic mess from the Bush administration, but at some point Obama and his administration must be held accountable for their current and planned spending that will destroy our economy.

They Just Don't Get It - Obama & The Democrats Are Not In Touch With The Majority Of Americans

Obama swept into office on the promise of change and most Democrats felt that was really why he was elected, but like I have said before, he was elected because he was not Bush and was not a Republican.

For most of America, the beer goggles are slowly coming off and they are beginning to think they may have to "chew off their arm".   All of those who voted for him are beginning to realize what a flipping mess our country is in now and he is not doing anything to make it better.

According to a new Gallop poll, the majority of Americans "described their political ideology as conservative".  This means the Majority of Americans are right of center, Obama, Reid, Pelosi and the majority of the Democratic party are far left of center.  In addition, the country also has significant differences in priorities compared to the Obama administration.

For example, look at some data

Gallup has found that independents are more likely to oppose than support healthcare reform, and to express concerns about increased government spending and the expansion of government power. Thus, the drop in Democratic support is partly a response to concerns about the policies Obama and the Democratic Congress are pursuing.

Voters Trust Republicans More On 10 Top Issues

Forty-nine percent (49%) of voters nationwide say that passing no health care reform bill this year would be better than passing the plan currently working its way through Congress (Rassmussen).

Thirty-eight percent (38%) of voters say cutting the federal budget deficit in half in the next four years should be the Obama administration's top priority, while 23% say health care reform is most important (Rassmussen).

The arrogance of this administration is amazing.  They are going against the American people on just about every important issue.   Our only hope is that it will not be too late when they are handed their pink slips and we can begin to repair all the damage these idiots have caused.

Buy Insurance or Go to Jail! - Is This The Change You Voted For?

In an effort to bring more choice to the healthcare debate, Obamacare is now offering the option to buy healthcare insurance or be forcibly asked to pay a $25,000.00 fine or spend 365 days in a prison of the Government's choice, where you will receive mandatory free healthcare until you begin to think it is your "Right".

Interesting, this is not being covered very well in the main stream media, but Politico has the details.  This is just another effort by Obama and his radical nuts to destroy this country and bring in socialism.  Wake up America, is this the "Change" you voted for?

Axelrod Says 'Tea Party' Protesters Are 'Wrong'

As the Obama administration tries to spin the "Tea Parties" over the week, their comments only reinforce the public's view that the Obama administration is out of touch with main stream America.  Check out what Axelrod said:

"I don't think it's indicative of the nation's mood," Axelrod said on CBS' "Face the Nation." "You know, I don't think we ought to be distracted by that. My message to them is, they're wrong."  (Fox News)

The majority of Americans oppose health care reform, 49% to 47%.  So I think Mr Axelrod and the rest of the Obama administration need to pull their heads out of their posterior and start paying attention or they may be joining the millions of other Americans in the unemployment line.

In addition, I mentioned that one of the major problems with Obama's plan is that it does not do anything to increase the number of Doctors and other health care professionals needed to care for the additional patient increase of millions.  Well, read what Dr. Robert Flaherty of Boston has to say. 50 Million New Patients? More Primary Docs a Must.

As I have said before, this administration has a serious case of engaging their mouth before they engage their brain (Closing GITMO without a plan).  This President and his stooges are going to destroy this country.

Obama Uses More Lies and Distortions to Distract the Public

Well Obama came out last night with an exceptional speech designed to kick start his healthcare plan, but like so many of his speeches, this one lacked any detail and offered up more lies and distortions to distract the public.  Below are just a few I thought needed closer examination.

Lie # 1: First, I will not sign a plan that adds one dime to our deficits – either now or in the future. Period. (Politico, 2009).

First it is impossible to think you can add millions of people to a healthcare plan, cut waste and abuse costs from Medicare & Medicaid and still maintain the same or better standard of care.  In addition, the CBO has already said that the current plans will cost about a $1 Trillion.  Obama said $900 million last night, So where do you think that money will come from? What It Will Cost You  So was the President using lies and distortion?

Lie # 2: "There are also those who claim that our reform effort will insure illegal immigrants. This, too, is false – the reforms I’m proposing would not apply to those who are here illegally" (Politico, 2009).

This has been stated over and over, but Obama and the Dems continue to dismiss it as not being true.  Well, here are a few facts.

"Under H.R. 3200, a 'Health Insurance Exchange' would begin operation in 2013 and would offer private plans alongside a public option…H.R. 3200 does not contain any restrictions on noncitzens—whether legally or illegally present, or in the United States temporarily or permanently—participating in the Exchange" (Tapscott, 2009).  Again, I ask, was the President using lies and distortions to distract the American people?

In addition, let's look at this from a factual side.   "The Congressional Research Service has indicated that indeed the bills that are before Congress would include illegal aliens," Wilson said. "And I think this is wrong." (Fox News, 2009).  If the President was telling us the truth, then why are the Dems scrambling to fix the loophole, that the Congressional Research Service study found and Wilson called the President on last night?

This 2nd lie also brings to light another issue.  The hypocrisy of the Democratic party is amazing.   Pelsoi considered gaveling Joe Wilson (Politico, 2009) and Sen. Arlen Specter (D-Penn.) wants Wilson censured (Politico, 2009).

The problem here is the stage was set by the Dems when Bush was President.  During that time, Senator Harry Reid called Bush a liar and looser, but never apologized for calling him a liar (Politico, 2009).  Now here is the Senate Majority Leader who got away with calling the President a liar. And let's not forget Nancy Pelsoi  accused the CIA of lying to her and she has yet to prove they lied, nor has she received any type of  censure.  Why not?

Obama and the Democrats are talking about how much they want to help the American people, but their use of lies and distortion are causing a bigger divide in this country.  We need to take notice as citizens and start holding them accountable.

Obamacare – Two Major Issues Ignored By Obama & Congress

As Obama prepares to address Congress in an effort to kick-start his Health Care plan, you can be sure he will not provide any specifics of his plan. He will talk in broad terms about how we need to reform health care, (Government takeover) and make health care affordable to the 47 million uninsured who do not have health care benefits, all without anything specific or without addressing two of the major issues facing health care today.

You will not hear him say anything about addressing the costs of malpractice insurance premiums or how they plan to increase the number of physicians. These are the two major issues that need to be addressed.   Any health care reform bill that does not address malpractice insurance premiums and efforts to increase the number of quality doctors in the U.S. will be no more than $1.3 trillion Government goat rope.

Malpractice insurance costs for doctors are outrageous.  According to Dr. Michael Lynch of New Hampshire,”Specialty physicians have experienced a 50 percent increase in premiums from five years ago.  The average premium is now close to $100,000 for obstetricians and neurosurgeons” (The Monitor, 2008).   In New York, according to Michael Virtanen, “Physicians in specialties like neurosurgery and obstetrics can pay $200,000 a year for malpractice coverage…” (Virtanen, 2009).  The costs of being a physician in a specialty field, such OB/GYN doctors where premiums are the highest, are causing a decrease of graduates from medical schools.  “Because of these high premiums, especially on young doctors just starting out in practice, many states are reporting growing shortages of OB/GYN doctors. In some states it has reached a crisis level” (Sheila Guilloton, 2009).

With the cost of malpractice insurance driving a decrease in doctors across the nation, you would think Obama and Snakes in Congress would be working aggressively to figure out how to address these issues.  So what is going to happen when we add another 47 million people to the already crowded hospitals, besides increasing our debt by about 1 trillion dollars?

Let’s look at the numbers. In 2006, the population was around 299 million and the number of Active Physicians was 800,586.  The ratio of patients to doctors then was 267. This was based on Per 100,000 resident population in U.S. Census Bureau estimates as of July 1 (Census, 2009).  Now according to Brian Williams of MSNBC the average wait times across the nation for, “Hospitals in Arizona (4 hours, 57 minutes), Maryland (4 hours, 7 minutes), Utah (4 hours, 5 minutes), New York (3 hours, 58 minutes), and Florida (3 hours, 57 minutes) are among the worst, with wait times near or exceeding four hours” (Williams, 2006).

As of today, we have 307, 396, 731 people living in America (Census, 2009).  If the Obama administration plans to provide health care to every American, we will need to have about 1,151,299 Active Physicians just to maintain the same ratio of 2006.  I doubt we are near that amount today and when I see that the US could face a Shortage of 44,000 primary care Physicians by 2025 (Science Daily, 2008), I have to wonder what Obama and his Snakes are thinking.  To me, it sounds like more lies and distortions from this administration..
