President Obama said back on May 2nd of 2006, "Eight months after Katrina, there’s no longer any emergency that justifies a no-bid contract that might have been entered into the days after Katrina." (Obama Speeches.com)

So what did we learn today?  "...the Obama administration this month awarded a $25 million federal contract for work in Afghanistan to a company owned by a Democratic campaign contributor without entertaining competitive bids,..." (James Rosen, 2009).

Now this company is going to "train the next generation of legal professionals" throughout the Afghan provinces and thereby "develop the capacity of Afghanistan's justice system to be accessible, reliable, and fair." (James Rosen, 2009)   Are they kidding? 

How long will it take for America to see this man for who he truly is - just another lying politician out to reward his cronies?

Just when you thought it could not get any better... It appears that President Obama is planning to go out to Nevada to "help" campaign for Reid, who is trailing in all the polls.

I say Great!  The "Big Cheese" riding in on his big white plan to save the day.  After all, look how well it worked in the VA Governor’s Race, the NJ Governor’s Race, Copenhagen for the Olympics, Copenhagen for the Climate Boondoggle, and just look at how much he helped Martha Coakley. This President just don't seem to get it, but I hope the people of Nevada show Harry the same "love" as the people of Massachusetts showed Martha.

To the great people of Nevada, "America is counting on you to do the right thing and send Harry to the unemployment line."

As we look to the close of Obama's first year in office, I thought it would be good to offer up some very good information presented by Judge Andrew P. Napolitano, the senior judicial analyst at Fox News.

Judge Napolitano put together five short videos (5 - 7 mins each) on the The Constitution, our Freedoms and how the three branches of Government are supposed to work.

As you watch these videos, think back on some of the outrageous things our Government has done and how they continue to grow the Federal Government.  They have taken a lot of power from the States and the people of this great nation.  This has never been more rampant then this past year with the Obama Administration.  Well, knowledge is power and the more the American people know about our rights and freedoms, the more we can do to run these crooks out of Washington.

You know I really think these idiots who get elected to Congress should have to take a test on the Constitution and other documents our Founding Fathers wrote. 

Enter Senator Sherrod Brown (D-Ohio) who thinks the Constitution gives Congress the authority to require that every American buy health insurance (Matt Cover, 2009).

Wow, did you know that?  I wonder how long it will be before they think the Constitution gives them the authority to require us to by a car from GM, since they (or I should say we the taxpayers) own the majority of the stock? 

Just so no one really thinks this is in the Constitution, here is what some others have to say;

“Nowhere in the Constitution is Congress given the power to mandate that an individual enter into a contract with a private party or purchase a good or service,” wrote  Heritage scholars Randy Barnett, Nathaniel Stewart, and Todd F. Gaziano.

This health care bill is a major disaster for America and we need to contact Congress now.

The Democrats, always living in a fantasy world, really thought the American people voted for the Socialist agenda that Obama was selling.  The fact is, as I said before here, Obama was elected because he was not Bush and to support that claim, all you have to do is look at Obama's and Democrat's poll numbers and what people think of the direction the Nation is heading.  These numbers say we do not want to continue down this Socialist road of "Big Government", Tax Hikes" and "World Appeasement".

So now, the Democrats,  "Desperate for Edge in Election Year, Dems Turn to Old Strategy" (Fox News), but they still don't get it do they.  They forget they have had control of Congress for three years and Obama has been President for close to one year.  It is well past time for these idiots to "put their big boy and big girl panties on and deal with the facts".  Blaming Bush and the Republicans for where we are now is getting old and the American people are quickly turning against all the BS they see in Washington. 

From the massive nut roll on Health Care, to the boondoggle in Copenhagen, to trying terrorists in criminal courts, this administration is completely out of touch with the majority of Americans.  Let's hope the American people continue to see through this BS and take back America in 2010.  To keep informed, check out these links:

Sometime tonight, the Senate will vote to move their version of health care forward for debate.  This bill, similar to the House's bill will drive up taxes significantly on all Americans, increase our national debt by trillions and destroy the quality of health care Americans have today.

Although Congress is far from delivering any kind of meaningful health care reform, the road these incompetent idiots are traveling is setting up our country for economic disaster.

"President Barack Obama took office promising to lead from the center and solve big problems. He has exerted enormous political energy attempting to reform the nation's health-care system. But the biggest economic problem facing the nation is not health care. It's the deficit. Recently, the White House signaled that it will get serious about reducing the deficit next year—after it locks into place massive new health-care entitlements. How far will we allow this disastrous spending of the Obama administration to go before we reach the stage of "treason, bribery, or other high crimes and misdemeanors."  America understands Obama inherited an economic mess from the Bush administration, but at some point Obama and his administration must be held accountable for their current and planned spending that will destroy our economy.

President Obama is said to be trying to convince Congress to hold off on any investigation of the Ft Hood Terrorist Act until law enforcement and military officials have completed their investigation.

"On an eight-day Asia trip, Obama turned his attention home and pleaded for lawmakers to "resist the temptation to turn this tragic event into the political theater." He said those who died on the nation's largest Army post deserve justice, not political stagecraft".  (Fox News)

Really?  He thinks lawmakers should "resist the temptation to turn this tragic event into the political theater".

Then I ask why is the AG providing Khalid Sheikh Mohammed and four others the same Constitutional rights as any American?  Why are they coming to America to stand trial when the US has a tried and proven history of Military Tribunals that are capable of trying these terrorists? Why is the President and the AG insisting on "political theater" for the 911 attacks?

He does not want a "political theater" for the stressed-out MAJ. Nidal Malik Hasan (TERRORIST) who murdered innocent victims at Ft Hood, but has no problem allowing "political theater" for the terrorist who killed thousands on 911.

The "political theater" Obama is trying to prevent with the Ft Hood massacre will only be multiplied a thousands times over with his plans to big these terrorists to New York.  This trial will be all about the Bush Administration, Cheney and  waterboarding and very little about these animals killing nearly 3,000 innocent Americans.  To me this sounds like "political stagecraft"  and not justice.

This is a sad day for America and an even sadder day for the families of the victims of 911.

Obama swept into office on the promise of change and most Democrats felt that was really why he was elected, but like I have said before, he was elected because he was not Bush and was not a Republican. 

For most of America, the beer goggles are slowly coming off and they are beginning to think they may have to "chew off their arm".   All of those who voted for him are beginning to realize what a flipping mess our country is in now and he is not doing anything to make it better. 

According to a new Gallop poll, the majority of Americans "described their political ideology as conservative".  This means the Majority of Americans are right of center, Obama, Reid, Pelosi and the majority of the Democratic party are far left of center.  In addition, the country also has significant differences in priorities compared to the Obama administration.

For example, look at some data

Gallup has found that independents are more likely to oppose than support healthcare reform, and to express concerns about increased government spending and the expansion of government power. Thus, the drop in Democratic support is partly a response to concerns about the policies Obama and the Democratic Congress are pursuing.

Voters Trust Republicans More On 10 Top Issues

Forty-nine percent (49%) of voters nationwide say that passing no health care reform bill this year would be better than passing the plan currently working its way through Congress (Rassmussen).

Thirty-eight percent (38%) of voters say cutting the federal budget deficit in half in the next four years should be the Obama administration's top priority, while 23% say health care reform is most important (Rassmussen).

The arrogance of this administration is amazing.  They are going against the American people on just about every important issue.   Our only hope is that it will not be too late when they are handed their pink slips and we can begin to repair all the damage these idiots have caused.

In a follow-up segment to the "Lies and Distortions to Distract" post I wrote earlier, it appears more information has come to light with regard to our "Communist Friend" Van Jones.  According to Cliff Kincaid:

"It is now abundantly clear that he was pushed out because the scandal threatened to implicate Obama friend and White House adviser Valerie Jarrett in the scandal that gave him a critical White House position without proper vetting."

"Proper Vetting", some how it does not surprise me they would distort the story like this.  The truth is, this has nothing to do with "Proper Vetting" and everything to do with trying to slip radicals into a radical administration hell bent on destroying our country.  This administration is a threat to America and the sooner the American people understand this, the faster we can start taking back our great country.

In an effort to bring more choice to the healthcare debate, Obamacare is now offering the option to buy healthcare insurance or be forcibly asked to pay a $25,000.00 fine or spend 365 days in a prison of the Government's choice, where you will receive mandatory free healthcare until you begin to think it is your "Right". 

Interesting, this is not being covered very well in the main stream media, but Politico has the details.  This is just another effort by Obama and his radical nuts to destroy this country and bring in socialism.  Wake up America, is this the "Change" you voted for?
