Sharpton Promises to 'Close This City'

The death of Sean Bell was a tragic event.  The acquittal of the officers involved is not clearly understood at this point.  However, Al Sharpton is on the war path  promising to close down New York city.

In my opinion, Sharpton is nothing more than freaking racist looking to instigate rage in an already tense situation. He plans "massive civil disobedience" like those by Rev. Martin Luther King, but what he fails to see or hear is the "Kill the Police" that was shouted by the gang participating in his march through Harlem. I don't recall the Rev Martin Luther King supporting any of that type of talk.

It's clear that more information is needed to understand the acquittals.  However, I fail to see where Sharpton's ranting will do anything, but cause further racial divides in the city.

You can read the full story about  Sean Bell  from Fox News.

Dangerous Word Games (The Politically Correct Way)

After reading this, I wonder how many "Radical Islamic Fundamentalist" are jumping up and down.  Not because they are mad and ready for "Jihad", but because they are winning the Politically Correct war in American.  You see, by doing so, they make it harder to identify where the real threat is coming from.  America really needs to put an end to all of this Politically Correct nonsense.  What do you think?

Dangerous Word Games - This is a memo to Palestinian Islamic Jihad, Hamas (Islamic Resistance Movement), Hizballah (the Party of God), the Islamic State of Iraq, Egyptian Islamic Jihad and others: Please consider changing your names to something a tad less religious sounding. Trying Something New

I've dropped the SMF forum and added phpBB forum to discuss those hot topic issues.  This is only a test for now and is open to anyone who wants to post a topic they feel is important.

The forum capability here will remain to discuss issues I post on my blog, but Bob's Forum  is available to anyone to strike up a discussion on those hot topics.   I'll add a few topics over the next few days to see how it does.  In addition, I have it set up so guests can comment and add topics without registering.  Let me know what you think.

U.S. Rep Calls for Revocation of Carter's Passport

Former President Jimmy Carter's visit to the Middle East and his meeting with Hamas leaders has set a very dangerous precedent.  The ability of our country to conduct foreign policy could be seriously impacted if we allow former political leaders to go off on their own contradicting official Government positions.  Carter needs to have his Passport revoked and all federal funding cut to his center in Atlanta.

U.S. Rep Calls for Revocation of Carter's Passport - As former President Jimmy Carter tours the Middle East, his plans to meet terrorist leaders have met with increasing criticism from authorities within the United States, including a senior U.S. Representative requesting Carter's passport be revoked by [Investigative Project on Terrorism]

Has America Lost Its Moral Direction?

Have we allowed the immoral minority to take over our great country? We seem to have thrown out our core values and beliefs for fear of being called a bigot, racist, homophobic, liberal, conservative, or any other name used to describe someone who does not agree with the current trend.

Everyday we are hearing someone say their civil rights are being violated and they deserve the right to do whatever they please. The sad part is Americans are buying into this insanity. Our “Politically Correct” response to all of this is slowly destroying our country. Americans have taken the position of, “as long as it doesn't affect me, go for it.” In reality, this gradual chipping away of our core values has started us on a downward slide into total chaos that will affect all of us on a much larger scale.  Let me know what you think.

Recession? What Recession?

You can't turn on the TV, listen to the radio or surf the net without hearing how bad the economy is and how we're in a recession.  Sure the housing market is going through some hard times, but is it really a recession?

Well according to a post by John Lott, Jr, I would say we're hardly in a recession.  His recent post at Fox News shows how bias the media is toward Republicans.  In my opinion, this constant bombardment of negative propaganda will only lead to our self-fulling prophecy of a recession.  Check out John Lott, Jr's Recession.
